Holiday Giving

Frontline Initiative is an organization committed to confronting some of the most challenging struggles faced by young people today. Our organization is comprised of two divisions, Poison Free and Hero Program. Please make a difference this holiday season by making a tax deductible donation to Beaver County’s Not-for-Profit Business of the Year. Your support will help the lives of many in need within our community in a sustainable way.

In 2009 the Hero Program has been able to provide thousands of dollars in financial support, two vehicles and much needed hospital bed to our Hero Families. This support has helped to ease the financial strain put on families of terminally ill children by filling in the gaps where insurance falls short. Please consider donating to Frontline Initiative to help support Hero families during this holiday season. Your support will make a big difference in the lives of families with terminally ill children.

Poison Free is ramping up to expand its Growing Roots community garden program by 400 percent in the coming year. This year proved to be such a success in our first year that we have been asked to expand the program to other housing communities within Beaver County in 2010. Poison Free’s Creative Technology program has provided great opportunities for students to get exposure to cutting edge technology and continues to be our largest fund raiser. Our website designs can now been seen for businesses all over the United States. See examples at www.poisonfree.org.

You can help support our initiatives to support those on the frontlines of life with a donation made payable to Frontline Initiative.

Thank you for helping make a difference.

in Poisonfree.org

The Growing Roots Community Garden , an Environmental Awareness Initiative was kicked off in the spring of 2009 with a ground breaking ceremony at Morado Dwellings in Beaver Falls, PA, where we installed our first Poison Free Organic Garden. This project was made possible through collaboration with the Housing Authority of the County of Beaver (HACB) and the Transitions Program. The program was such and overwhelming success that the HACB has asked us to expand our program by 400% in 2010.

What is the the Growing Roots Community Garden?

Poison Free is working in conjunction with various community organizations to provide organic community gardens or urban farming initiatives that will provide fresh organic produce and healthier eating habits in Beaver County. We will be breaking ground, planting crops, rerouting rain collection drainage to the garden in different housing developments, and most importantly working beside and training residents how to care for the organic garden and make it successful!

Classes are available pertaining to this program.

Poison Free Project Green will hold multiple instructional camps this summer for CCBC and the Prevention Network. Some of the topics included basic ecology, carbon footprints, alternative energy, green architecture, sustainability, recycling, gardening, organic products and local history.
